The system integrator usually provides conveyor pallets. Transporter systems have been provided which employ pallets made of wood, aluminum, steel, stainless steel, and urethane. Pallet size is determined by the size, weight, and positioning of fixturing and the work piece. Area must by allowed for cutouts, target mounting, or simply to provide a generous footprint to assure stability of the pallet, and mounted accessory devices, such as targets, cushion mounts, fixturing, etc. Cutouts are usually made in the leading and trailing edges of the pallet. Cutouts measuring 1-1/2" in depth and 3" in width are common. Cutouts serve as stop pockets.
